Quality Furnace Filters has the highest quality furnace filters on the market. From our Airguard MERV 8 to our MERV 12 furnace filter we have what you need.
If you notice an increase in the energy consumption of your HVAC system, then it’s time to change your filters. When you fail to change your air conditioner or furnace filter, it will get loaded with all kinds of filthy contaminants. The more clogged your filter gets, the less air flow that is able to pass through your furnace. This causes the blower to work much harder, and the resulting effect is that your utility bill increases.
If you notice that the amount of wear and tear on your HVAC system is more than what is normal, then it’s time to change your filters. When your blower has to work harder because of a clogged filter, overheating can become a problem. Likewise, the evaporator coil of your air conditioner can freeze if there is too much lacking air flow through the system; this causes the compressor to sustain additional stress on the compressor and failure to correct this problem quickly enough can lead your air conditioner being permanently damaged beyond repair.
Of course, if there is potential for life threatening conditions due to problems caused by not changing your furnace filter regularly enough, then you obviously want to get a new filter. Dirty filters can lead to CO2 leaks which not only are a hazard to your health, but can also lead to an explosion.
If for no other reason than to maintain the safety of you and your family, then you should be changing your furnace and air conditioner filters on a regular basis.- Related Articles
