The company is responsible for a number of unique, beautiful gazebo designs that reek both of style and functionality. Indeed, a gazebo from Sunjoy is a treasure worth finding.

Before we talk about Sunjoy Industries Gazebo, let us first pause for a while and talk about gazebos in general - what they are and where they originated. Basically, a gazebo is no less than a pavilion structure that can be usually found in parks, gardens, and other public areas that are spacious and accommodating. Gazebos are often octagonal, and they may stand alone on their own or attached to a garden wall, roofed or open for an alfresco feel. Gazebos work to give you shade you need from the blaze of the sun, basic shelter from the cruel environment, a resting place for your tired feet and body, and ornamental features to decorate your landscape. Large gazebos situated in public parks are also used as bandstands for concert performances.

In essence, gazebos are classified as garden structures, along with pagodas, kiosks, pavilions, belvederes, follies, pergolas, and many others that also have similar functions. The age-old literature of China, Persia, and other ancient civilizations with sunny and warm climates show the early use of the term; however, the term is officially considered to be first used by William and John Halfpenny, British architects, in their book Rural Architecture in the Chinese Taste, which came out in 1750 and equaled the term gazebo with Chinese tower. In American history, gazebos, which were called summerhouses back then, continue to be garden features or accessories for well-moneyed families. The real origin of the term, however, remains unknown, although many suggestions have been made.

Throughout history, garden structures, most especially pavilions, have been typically built using almost any available construction material. In North America today, gazebos are made out of wood and covered with shingles or any other standard roofing materials at hand. You can also find tent-style gazebos - they are structures of poles that are covered with nylon or some other tensioned fabric.

At the beginning of the summer I bought your Hampton Gazebo number 88-1370-4 for $100.00 at Canadian Tire. I'm sorry to say that with weight of the rain, your gazebo lasted a week before some of pipe's bent and even brook in two. The roof collapse on my head. I spook to a friend that told me the same thing happen to them.

I know you going to tell me that I did not pay a lot but at a $100.00 a week where talking for a summer of 10 weeks a $1000.00. I bought temporaly until I found one I like or maybe build a wooden one.

My advice is for you to remove this product from the market or making it stronger even if you charge a little more. Because your giving your product a bad name for I will never trust buying another product from your firm.

From a disappointed customer.
