pool service tech having problems with 3 of 47 pools. they have clumps of a flaky white/aqua colored mineral in the heater header. when the clumps break up they leave piles by the return inlets. all the pools are serviced and maintained by using LSI perameters of -.1 to + .1 these pools are salt/ chlorine generated vessels. they are all properly bonded, they all use a good testable sequest agent, maintained at 10-16ppm. after a week or two the pool sweep bag can be 1/4 full with the flakes. one of the pool surfaces is black but has yet to show signs of scale. calcium levels have never been higher than 200. but the heat exchanger on one heater had a white calcium like substance build up. at this point i am at a loss as how to solve thid dilemma... any help would be very appriciated. thanks...
