Irrespective of the occasion UK flower delivery can be guaranteed to arrive on exactly the day required. It is possible if ordered before lunchtime to have flowers delivered the same day within the UK. The majority of florists use courier delivery to ensure timely arrivals of their flower deliveries, with many local florists having their own fleet of vehicles and drivers who understand the importance of reliability and customer service.

Flowers can be delivered anywhere in the world. It is important to remember that in order for them to arrive on a specific day florists will ask for as much notice as possible. Orders are faxed or emailed through to a florist who participate in International deliveries, the most well known being Interflora and Flowers Direct..

Interflora and Flowers Direct have been offering international flower delivery for almost one hundred years and to date have a network of florists in over one hundred and forty countries world wide. Those within the Interflora and Flowers Direct network boast hand delivery services to guarantee the flowers arrive in a timely manner and in the best possible condition.

International flower delivery is provided by 'set' selections of flowers which can be replicated in the country of delivery. Although this restricts the more unusual modern designs there are plenty of bouquets, basket and posy arrangements to choose from with a wide range of colour themes some of which include flowers that while may be classed as an exotic in the UK are more readily available in their country of origin. All occasions are catered for from informal flower arrangements of bouquets and basket designs for birthdays and anniversaries to formal floral tributes such as wreaths and posies for funerals.

Flower delivery by post is also possible and this method of delivery is adopted by the carnation growers of Guernsey. The flowers are carefully selected and packed in sturdy boxes with the stems wrapped in water soaked material to ensure freshness.

Exotic orchids transported in sealed vials filled with water can also be sent via the postal services direct to the customer's home or office arriving undamaged and fresh. Hand-tied flowers which are aqua packed, come with delivered in water, are an ideal and convenient choice for sending to people in hospital as there is absolutely no need to search for a vase or re-arrangement!

The use of postal services is often the preferred method of flower delivery by many of the UK's national supermarket chains as this can help to keep the cost of the flowers at a very competitive rate.

Flower delivery can quite often be found at no extra cost if flowers are ordered directly on-line, these companies also offer different delivery services such as guaranteed next day delivery, delivery within 24 hours and some companies are offering weekend flower delivery in order to satisfy their customer's every wish.

One major advantage of having flower delivery by hand is the guarantee of timely arrival, imperative for weddings, funerals and flowers for a special occasion.
