Top Benefits of Hunter Icc Controller Timers

Commercial landscapes take a beating from foot traffic, crowds, power surges and weather. To maintain such a landscape on a busy schedule, among many others, takes powerful tools. The Hunter ICC Controller Timers are a landscape contractor's best friend when it comes to complex irrigation system management. Here are some of the features that make managing large systems a breeze.
Modular Construction for easy Expansion
It can be difficult to determine how many irrigation stations will be necessary to properly care for a large, commercial finished landscape. Additionally, the expansion and renovations that occur within commercial landscapes necessitate flexibility to add and take away irrigation stations without major overhaul to the system. The modular construction of the Hunter ICC Controller Timers allows for easy expansion and contraction of the system.
Weather Protection Inside and Out
All of the cabinets and pedestals for the Hunter ICC Controller Timers are certified according to UL and CE specifications for UV tolerance, weather resistance and corrosion resistance. The circuitry is protected with Metal Oxide Varistors, or MOVs, which protect the panel and microcircuits from power surges. Further electrical protection can be added by including a ICC-PWB in the installation.
Multiple Program Features
Regardless of the number of stations in the finished ICC Controller Timer cabinet, each system has four different fully customizable programs, with eight daily start times. Two programs can run concurrently, giving maximum flexibility for customizing watering plans. Permanent days off can be specified for compliance with local water restrictions and regulations. A 1-7 day rain delay can also be temporarily imposed.
Contractor Features
The Hunter ICC Controller Timers can be programmed and maintained remotely. The Hunter Quick Check diagnostic system allows for easy troubleshooting should a problem arise. During programming, test programs can be run to determine if the timer has been set correctly. The modular construction of the controller timers makes it easier for contractors to stock parts, provide maintenance and expand the systems, as well. A default contractor program can be set so that if someone tampers with the control unit, the original settings can be restored without time consuming re-programming.
Power and Memory Backup
Backup lithium batteries are included with the modules; however, the 100 year memory will retain the programs saved, even in the event of an extended power outage.
Seasonal and Work Adjustment Features
The cycle and soak feature goes above and beyond the four customizable programs to help establishment of new sod or seeded areas. Programs can be seasonally adjusted from 0-150% to use water wisely and avoid disease problems caused by under or overwatering.
Circuit Protection
The ICC controllers contain a unique feature that allows the system to detect when a circuit is shorted. The system will skip the circuit that is malfunctioning and continue with the rest of the program until the problem area can be fixed. This avoids blowing fuses or damaging the entire system. It also helps to avoid extended periods without water, which can be ruinous during drought conditions.
In almost every imaginable way, the Hunter ICC Controller Timers provide consistent, professional service for large scale residential and commercial landscapes.
