If you've been taking care of house plants for a while, it's presumable that you've lost a plant or two. A reasonable guess as to why would be either insufficient or excessive watering. Water is an important element in the growth of your plant, but giving too much or too little can sometimes be fatal. The bad thing is that there is no common rule of watering that applies to every houseplant in the world. But, here are a few tips to keep your plant watered just right.
Evaluate Your Soil Moisture- When watering house plants; know the conditions your house plant is living in. Believe it or not, but pots actually contribute to your plant's water level. It is best to dry them after you find the ripest ones. If you grow gourds yourself or have access to a patch, this is the best source to get them from. If not, you will have to deal with what they have in the stores. However, keep in mind that these gourds are often already dried.
