Celebration of New Year Around World

Even before mankind knew about celebrating any other festival, New Year around the world was welcomed with much gusto and zest by people of almost every race. Right from ringing holy Church bells, to gatherings with family and friends, to watching parades sitting at home amongst all luxuries at television channels, today New Year celebrations have taken new ways. But not all the countries enjoy on the same day of 1st January. 1st January marks the beginning of the year as per the Gregorian Calendar. However, it is true that most of the population of the globe follow Gregorian Calendar.

But there are many calendars followed by various countries. While Jewish people celebrate New Year in the form of Rosh Hashnah, which falls in around the month of September according to the Gregorian Calendar. On the other hand, Iranians begin their New Year with the beginning of the spring season. Whereas, celebrations of New Year in India occur four times a year. They welcome every season with same fervor. Chinese and Japanese too have their own dates on which they eulogize the beginning of New Year. However, along with the regional New Year celebrations, the pagan festival of New Year on 1st January is the source of jubilations almost in every country.

Scottish New Year celebrations are known as Hogmanay. They actually give more emphasis to New Year Eve celebrations, which continue till the next day as well. Talking about New Year celebrations around the world, we can not skip the jollifications of Italy, Portuguese and Netherlands as they still have a touch of history in them. Offering prayers at Church and attending to Church services by the entire family together is customary there.

Like Christmas, the celebrations of New Year take place during holidays in most of the countries around the world. Thus, going to New Year vacations is a newly emerged trend. You can be a part of the historic celebrations of New Year around the world. So, pack your bags and spend your New Year in an altogether different environment with loved ones around. Vacations around the world in New Year are encouraged by various travel agencies available online and otherwise. They offer great packages so that you do not have to worry about the transportation, accommodation and a guide in a stranger country.

Some of the most famous New Year celebrations around the world occur in Costa Rica, Philippines, New York and others. If you want to be a part of more traditional New Year celebrations, then going to places like Rome, France etc is suggested. You can witness exotic New Year celebrations in Brazil and Mexico where colorful celebrations are captivating enough to let you enjoy your New Year vacations to the full. Going to places like Sydney, San Fransisco, Los Angeles, Boston and Hawaii would surely be a unique experience for you and your family.
