Quite recently, I happened to visit a friend of mine who works for one of the biggest software giants in the country. The first thing that caught my attention when I reached his home was a wall plaque mounted on his wall.
It was an award for his achievements as a sales manager the previous quarter. It was not as if I was seeing a corporate plaque award for the first time. But this was definitely the best one that I had seen so far. And I was seeing one after a long time as well.
Corporate plaque awards were widely used a few decades ago. But then they went out of fashion and were replaced by trophies. And now, they are back with a bang and most of corporate America now uses corporate plaque awards.
