Shofar Stand

What is a shofar?

A shofar is made from the horn of some animals, especially rams and kudus. Traditionally, a shofar is made from the horns of a kosher male animal except for cattle. There are two types of shofar. Horns of rams are used to make Ashkenazi or Sefardi shofars while those of kudus are used to make Yemeni shofars. A ram’s horn shofar is the most popular item for making shofar. Horns of antlers cannot be used to make shofars because they are bones and cannot be hollowed.

When it becomes a little too dirty, it can be easily cleaned with a soap solution and using a piece of sponge or cotton cloth.
