Just five easy questions, you can have the idea if you really need to buy new golf clubs for yourself or not. This article can make your golf buying very easy and useful.
1) Are your clubs 4 years or older?
If you have older clubs then you should certainly consider investing in a new set. The technological advances alone will almost automatically help your game.
2) Do you have the budget for the clubs you want?
Golf is really a rich mans sport. New golf clubs is a big reason that is because they are not cheap. For example, Callaway makes a great golf club. But they are also one of the, if not the most expensive golf club manufacturers out there. They have a great reputation but does that mean you have to buy Callaway's when your budget says your shouldn't? Of course not. There are a lot of quality clubs out there that can fit into any budget. However, if you're set on a higher end simply save until its not a burden on your finances.
3) Do you play enough to justify the added costs?
For most golfers they don't play but a few times a summer. If this is you, you need to have a heart to heart with yourself to see if this justifies investing in a new set of golf clubs. If you financially set then by all means go nuts but if you're like the rest of us then purchasing a new set may need to be put on hold.
4) Do you want new clubs for the right reasons?
Why do you want a new set? Is it because your buddy got a new set and your wanting to keep up with him? Or is it because you actually want to become a better golfer. Only you know the reason so be honest with yourself and make the right decision for you.
5) Will your significant other kick you out?
Alas, if you buy a new set of clubs will your significant other freak out and kick you out of the house? If this is even a remote possibility then I would say pass on the new clubs for now. Unless you buy them something nice first to build up your brownie points.
