Are Aerial Advertising Services the Right Fit for You?

There are a lot of things to consider when you’re advertising your event and/or product. For one thing, you need to think about your target consumers. Next, you need to think about your product imaging and message. Last but not the lease, you need to think about the cost of your advertising medium.

Aerial advertising services allow you to take all three concepts in tow without worries. Compared to radio and airtime, aerial advertising services are relatively cheaper. They also make niche marketing easier for the advertiser.

With aerial advertising services, you won’t have to worry about spending money on advertising that won’t pay off in the end. For example, if you’re a pizza parlor and you only have branches in a state, there’s no use for you to be investing in national television air time.

You’ll probably have more success trying to “talk to” consumers in a local festival. Flying a banner over a village event is always a good investment for restaurants offering new meals, or those that have just been opened.

One of the biggest battles that most advertisers fight is memory. Out of ten to 20 ads being aired on TV, only two or three of those are actually remembered by consumers. Probably because there’s not as much competition when it comes to aerial advertising services, the figures are more promising with this medium.

According to studies, up to 88% of the crowd will be able to remember the plane banner flying by. 79% of those who saw the banner will be able to remember what product was being advertised. What’s more interesting is as much as 67% of the crowd will be able to remember the latter half of the banner’s slogan even after 30 minutes.

In media-speak, this can only mean one thing for advertisers: profit. When you’re advertising on TV, on the other hand, your consumers might not take the time to actually pay attention to your ads. Most likely, they will just channel surf, and your advertising money will go down the drain.

Without a doubt, aerial advertising services are more effective than other mediums of advertising.

Aerial advertising doesn’t happen overnight. You might not have to go through as much trouble filming a scene or recording a radio skit, but the same amount of time is needed for flight bookings and banner processes.

It takes only approximately 4 days to generate your banner, but it can take up to 10 days to book a flight. If you’re planning to have your ad fly over a specific location at a specific time, you might have to make reservations at least two weeks in advance.

Make sure that you have an idea for a design and your slogan when you go to the aerial advertising agency. The maximum area that a banner takes up is a total of 5000 square feet. There are popular banner dimensions available in the agency, for certain, that will ensure you that your banner can be read from the ground.

Plane banners fly as low as 1000 ft above land and 500 ft above water. Most advertisers take advantage of summers because they can fly their banners closer to a mixed crowd on a public beach.

Kolbi Stewart - Can good design change the world?

By: Kolbi Stewart | 09/11/2009
The title of Warren Berger's recently printed book --'Glimmer : How Design Can transform your Life and maybe Even the World' -- is bold. The common understanding of what'design' means to many of us is the way something looks or feels : the look of an iPod or a picture poster, furniture or everyday appliances, for example. However what if it was, as Berger says,'a way of having a look at the world with an eye toward changing it?' 'The premise of this book is that design can be a...

The biggest enemy of advertising is sensory numbness. When you’re being thrown ten to fifteen different ads in an hour, you’re bound to space out and stop paying attention as a consumer.
