Protect Your Hair
Stop dying your hair. By using hair dye, you will soak up all the natural moisture the hair follicle has and get some serious damages. Getting changes might be an interesting way to refresh your look, but keep in mind that your hair gets damaged each time you do it, even if you do your best in conditioning it. Keep your entire body healthy, so that you can maintain a youthful appearance and a shiny hair. Provide all the vitamins your body and specially your hair needs and do regular workouts. Use homemade hair masks to nourish and regenerate and make sure the hair care products you are using are matching your hair type. Rinse your hair with cooler water to close the conditioner into your hair follicles and never brush while is still wet.
Damaging Factors to Avoid
First of all, you should know that UV rays are damaging your hair to, not only your skin. So stay away from the sun as best as possible, keep your hair in a bun or use hats to protect it.
Avoid smoking and alcohol. These two factors dehydrate your entire body and remove the natural moisture from your skin, nails and hair.
Take a break from the styling products and styling tools. Both are causing huge damages each time you are styling your hair.
Stay away from swimming pools. The water full of chlorine will case severe damages to your hair, sometimes even making it get a green shade.
Don't keep diets. Or at least provide all the vitamins your body needs. IF there's any lake of vitamins, it will be visible on your hair's appearance.
