Baldness, or hair loss, is an unwelcome condition affecting mostly men…but also women. In either case, the identifiable culprits or underlying causes contributing to hair loss or baldness are quite diverse.

There are a number of reasons why men start to go bald, but if you are a man between the ages of about 20 to 45 and you start to lose scalp hair, then the chances are 95 per cent certain that you are experiencing male pattern baldness. As the term suggests, male pattern baldness follows a typical sequence or pattern.

Common baldness, sometimes called male- or female-pattern baldness, accounts for 99 percent of hair loss in men and women. Although its exact causes are unknown, heredity, hormones and age are contributing factors. Unlike hair loss resulting from disease or other non-hereditary factors, hair loss due to common baldness is permanent.

Baldness is not always inevitable, and the amount and rate of loss can often be diminished with the correct treatment. Alopecia, also called hair loss, baldness, and epilation, is a common side effect of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Most patients undergoing chemotherapy, especially those who are being treated with more than one drug, will suffer from hair loss. Radiation therapy causes hair loss only in the area of skin being treated.

Amla, shikaki powder mixed with curd is a good conditioner and should be made use of.

Massaging with aroma oils once a week reduces hairfall and makes them soft and silky. Rosemary oil and titri oil can also be used.

For nourishing your hair, apply coconut milk all over your scalp and massage it into the hair roots.

Mix curd, lemon and mustard oil, apply gently on hair and wash your head after about half an hour.

Rub on the scalp with 1 teaspoon oil in which raw mangoes have been preserved for over one year. Repeat treatment frequently.

Add few leaves Hibiscus (China rose) to a glass of water. Heat it. The juice of a lime should be squeezed in the sieved mixture and it should be applied to the hair before shampooing.

Application of juice of green coriander leaves on the head is also beneficial. Good Home Remedy for Hair Loss

Drink 10-12 glasses of water daily and have a high protein diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables and dairy products.

There is sufficient evidence to believe the beneficial effects of hot oil treatments for the prevention and cure of falling hairs. Traditionally one, two or more hair oils are used twice a weak to get good results. Commonly used oils include sesame, olive, soybean or coconut oils.

Saw Palmetto - It is a small creeping palm containing free fatty acids and phytosterols, which block the formation of DHT and by inhibiting the enzyme 5-alpha reeducates that contributes to androgen tic alopecia.

Also pick up the raw herbs and use them to make a rinse for your hair. Use it as a conditioner of sorts, and you should begin to see improvement. You can add rosemary oil, which has a pleasant smell, and some apple vinegar to the tea rinse.
