I need to know how to attach a wiglet by braiding ...
By: rita | 31-07-2008
I need to know how to attach a wiglet by braiding and sewing. My mom lost the hair on the top of her head. She wears a wiglet attached with bobbi pins to wringlet curls made out of her remaining hair. It is not very secure. I once saw a documentary on TV showing a cancer patient. They made a braid around her head, then sewed a hairpiece to the braid allowing her to cut, style, and blowdry her hair which snuggly stayed in place for months. Does anyone have instructions, a video. or photo's of this procedure?

I hope someone can help me find an answer to my hair loss...
By: maria | 02-07-2008
Hi! I hope someone can help me find an answer to my hair loss. I am 43 and my hair comes out when i take a shower, lots of it. My scalp is pinkish-red and burns. I have very small bumps spread out around my scalp. I had my Thyroid check along with hormones, iron and everything is normal. Both my parents in their mid sixties have their hair so I don't think it is hereditary. I read that staph in the nose can cause hair loss. My doctor did a nose culture and it showed Enterobacter Aerogenes. What exactly is this and can this cause hair loss? I thought it could be my water I'm on town water. I thought it could be my shampoo and products which I have changed. Are there any diseases or allergies that can cause hair loss. Thanks for your help! Maria

Hair loss is caused by the by-product prolactin of testosterone in men increasing, stimulating the production of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase that causes the conversion of testosterone to gihydro-testosterones DHT causing our hair to grow back thinner or do not grow back at all. Foods, nutritional supplements and herbs might help to stop hair loss and promote hair growth. Prescription and over the counter medication are still the number one source in this subject.
