Dandruff Home Remedies

Dandruff refers to the flaking scalp which falls like snow flakes and settles on one's brows, shoulders and clothes, but assumes an unpleasant, irritating condition associated with bacteria, in the case of excessive formation of scales on the scalp. These scales are formed from the horny layer of the skin. Dandruff can occur to anybody at any age. It should not be left untreated.

Here we will discuss ten Ayurvedic and homely dandruff remedies, which can put your dandruff at a bay.

1). add one teaspoon of camphor to half coconut oil and store it in a strong container. Use this mixture on the scalp before bed.

2). Mix little coconut oil with lemon juice, heat a little bit, and then apply the mixture on the hair and scalp and take a bath. Get the result with in two weeks.

3). Besan with yogurt or card with a table spoon of lemon juice can be helpful for fighting the dandruff problem. Apply this mixture on your and leave this mixture for about 30 minutes. It will start working with in few minutes and then after this you can apply your regular shampoo and conditioner. Try at least two months to get the result. Besan and card are natural cleanser and wash the scalp purely.

4).Card with juice of two lemons can be applied on your scalp for one hour and then wash your hair with any mild anti-dandruff shampoo.

5).Shikakayee powder can work better than shampoo and conditioner. Put shikakayee powder and methi seeds (Fenugreek) together in water and put this mixture overnight. Then next morning paste them with mandhara flowers. If you use only methi seeds with shikakayee paste it will also work well. Mint can also be used in this mixture.

6). Paste neem leaves with one teaspoon of lemon juice and then put it over your hair and leave it for half hour .wash it with your preferred shampoo and conditioner.

7). Mint Rinse Boil: boil one cup water, one cup apple cider vinegar, one handful of fresh mint leaves , strain and pour into a container. With fingertips, mage solution into the scalp, let dry without rinsing out.

8). Hot oil therapy is another method to cure dandruff. Mage hot oil into the scalp at bedtime. Next morning an hour before bath, rub lemon juice mixed with cosmetic vinegar (mix 1:2 ratio) into the scalp. Give the hair a good wash and egg shampoo.

9).Gently apply a mixture of heated almond oil and olive oil on your scalp. Then, make a solution of sugar by dissolving a few teaspoons in water. Apply this on your scalp. If necessary make partitions and apply everywhere. Wash off with shampoo. Let the last rinse be with tea water with some lemon juice. Try this out! It solves all dandruff problems including fungal problems! If you don’t have olive oil or almond oil then just use the sugar solution that’s the most effective. Once dandruff problem is solved, hair fall will reduce automatically.

10). mix of two tablespoons of vinegar and six tablespoons of hot water. Dab with cotton into the scalp, parting the hair with a comb apply all over the scalp. Preferably it should be used at bed time. Tie a scarf over the hair to avoid staining the pillow. Next morning wash the hair with shampoo. After the hair is thoroughly cleansed pour over as a last rinse a mixture of three tablespoons of vinegar and one cup of hot water. Then dry the hair thoroughly. This should be done twice a week for three months.
