Types Of Hair

Normal Hair

It is shiny yet not greasy and fairly easy to manage.
It flies about a little a day after the set but it soon settles down and looks good for about a week.

Home Remedies for normal hair

1) Take a small amount of curd and 2 spoonfuls of besan. Mix it well. Apply on the scalp and hair. Shampoo after some time. This will maintain the shine of your hair.

2) Beat an egg. Apply it on the scalp and hair. Shampoo after some time.

3) Use henna once in a month to this type of hair.
Oily Hair

•Looks good for a day or two after shampooing but then quickly becomes lifeless.
•Groups of hair cling together in unattractive strands and the head feels dirty.
•It often has the problem of dandruff.

This is usually accompanied with oily skin. This is due to the over secretion of oil. Hence the scalp and hair gets too oily. Oily hair is easily recognizable. It looks greasy even after shampooing and attracts more dirt.
The oily hair needs to be washed every third or fourth day or even more frequently depending on individual comfort and rinsed out with lemon. Use oils and shampoos rich in neem and henna. A head massage with a herbal oil helps maintain the pH level of the scalp. Avoid oily foods and binge on green leafy vegetables and fruits.

Dry Hair

For dry hair follow this treatment once in two weeks: Take two tablespoons of olive oil. Warm it and massage on your head. Cover your hair with poly bag and then cover this bag with a warm towel. This will give steaming effect to the hair. Keep it there for half an hour and then rinse and shampoo.
Other Tips for Dry Hair:

•Placing 1 or 2 drops of safflower oil in your palms and rub them together.
•There should only be enough to make your hands "shine" in the light.
•Carefully take your hair (while dry) and "scrunch" the small amount of oil to the ENDS first and work toward the scalp.

• Leave this in your hair.

Oily Hair

Opinion is divided about how often to wash oily hair. Some people swear by washing it every day. Others claim that this merely encourages more oil production, thus exacerbating the problem. Whenever you wash your hair, try a tablespoon of cider vinegar to the final rinse to help cut down on the grease.

Home Remedy for Oily Hair

Whether or not you have used any hair products for your hair you must be aware of various home remedies options that are available to help you fix this problem. Below are given some such remedy for treating oily hair type:
Use a gentle, non aggressive shampoo that also gives the hair volume. A light perm will lift the hair at the roots and limit the dispersal of sebum.

Rethink of your diet - reduce dairy fats and greasy foods. Try to eat plenty of fresh food and drink six to eight glasses of water every day.
