When using the Fastback PowisPrinter, you will need to know how to navigate the Menus on your keyboard to change or edit the font that you use. Using the Menu key on your PowisPrinter, you can change the font type, size, and style; You simply need to press the menu key and use the arrow keys to scroll through the menu choices. At any time you can press the ESC key to go back to the text screen.

OPTION #1: SELECT FONT
The select Font menu allows you to change the font that you use to print titles using your Fastback binding machine. You have eleven different fonts to choose from including: Times, Bodoni, Palatino, Univers, Univers Condensed, Avant Garde, Clarendon Condensed, Gill Sans Condensed, Helvetica, Microstyle and Zapf Chancery.
To select a font all you need to do is press the menu button and then press the 1 key to choose SELECT FONT. You can choose a font from the first screen or you can scroll over to see more font options. Once you have chosen a font, select an option to change all of the zones or just one of them. If you just press ENTER, the printer will change the font only in the zone you are currently in. After making your selection, the printer confirms your font change in the zones you have selected.
OPTION #2: FONT SIZE
If you want to make your text larger or smaller, this is the option to use. You can adjust the size of type on your strips from 8pt to 84points, or you can instruct the printer to AutoFit your title onto the strip. AutoFit will automatically calculate the largest font to fit in the space provided.
To change your font size all you need to do is press the menu button and then press the 2 key to choose FONT SIZE. You can enter any size between 8 and 84 or you can press the A key for autofit. Once you have selected your size and press ENTER it will ask you to choose a zone or to change all zones. If you just press ENTER it will only change the size for the Zone that you are currently in.
OPTION #3: FONT STYLE
This menu allows you to format the font style that will print on your Fastback strip. You have four different styles to choose from including: normal, bold, italic and bold-italic. Not all font styles are available for all fonts. For example, Microstyle is only available in normal and bold styles. If you try to apply a style that is not available for a certain font, the printer will let you know on the confirmation screen.
To change the font style all you need to do is press the menu button and the press the 3 key to choose FONT STYLE. You can select the font style that you want by choosing the corresponding number for the style that you want. After you select your Font Style you will again need to choose the zone or zones that you want to change.
