It’s hard to decide what type of computer to purchase next. Each brand and each model has its pros and cons and all can pretty much get the job done. It’s up to you to analyze your needs and find the perfect computer companion. Here are three different computers that work with three different occupations.
HP Pavilion Tablet PC Notebook
This computer is a lightweight laptop with a durable swivel monitor that you can turn around to show presentations to clients or lay flat to sign documents. This PC tablet has handwriting recognition software which means that the computer can receive and interpret your handwriting. Per Wikipedia, handwriting recognition works in two ways; the image of the text may be sensed off-line from a piece of paper by optical character recognition or sensed online by a pen based computer screen surface. This new technology is fabulous and comes in handy for professions like mortgage lending. Mortgage lenders are always signing documents and faxing them to customers and banks. Now lenders can work more efficiently out of their offices when they’re meeting with agents and title companies and prospecting new clients. This computer also has a unique security device where you can unlock your computer or get into your email with a protected finger imprint. Again this is ideal for a mortgage lender that may have private client financial data on their computers. To round off this computer’s functionality it comes equipped with a touch pad with scroll options, web cam, light Scribe DVD+/-RW drive and built-in quad-band Wi-Fi connectivity.
Apple Mac Book Air
This invention is absolutely unique. The design is streamlined and fits all the functions of a regular laptop in a computer that is approximately the same width of your index finger. This computer is .16 -.76 inches wide and can fit into a standard sized interoffice envelope. It weighs a merely 3.0 lbs. and has an outstanding screen size of 13.3 inches. The computer also has a touch pad with multi-touch technology allowing you to pinch, swipe, rotate or zoom photos all from the touch pad. The computer is ideal for writers or students as it’s so easy to take with you anywhere and everywhere. This ultraportable computer also comes with an isight camera and software, 2GB of RAM, an 80GB hard drive and a battery that lasts up to five hours. It’s a lot of power in a small mobile package.
The New Mac Pro
The new Mac Pro is said to be the faster Mac ever. Its new 8-chore processing delivers a computer that is two times faster than its predecessor. It’s also designed to offer three graphics cards that would each be perfect for 3D modeling, animations or rendering. This monster of a computer is ideal for graphic artists or TV and Film producers. The design also allows for you to continuously add more memory and expansion cards as needed.
All in all, technology has advanced and has been specialized to help everyone’s personal and business needs. Mac’s are known for their power and graphics capabilities and are better for graphic artists and film producers. PC computers are mostly used in the business world pushing Microsoft applications such as Excel and PowerPoint and are generally used in most administrative offices. So whether you’re a student, mortgage lender or film producer there’s a variety of different computers out there to choose from that will fit your needs and occupation.
