However as any writer knows, writing articles is far quicker if the ideas are already down. Another technique then is to dictate articles and record them, then simply type them up when you get to the office/home. A PDA with an SDHC is great for this as most include dictation software and are easily portable.

As well as word processing, an internet connection is also very important for productivity. This allows the writer to research their material, while a business man or woman might use it to check and respond to e-mails. iPhones are known for the fact that they come with permanent 3G (and now 3GS) internet connections, though many other smart phones now do as well and will also support SDHC allowing  you to communicate with your computer, netbook and PDA more easily.
