It is easy to get second hand things which work just as well and cost less as well. They will be pretty hidden among your equipment and after using them for a while you will hardly remember whether you bought them new or second hand. Many people are still not that concerned about the environment and do not consider way to help it. It is a shame as well that certain reports can put people off recycling. It has been said that certain energy saving measures are actually worse for the environment. Wind turbines for example can cost more because of the materials to make them than they can save in renewable energy. However, you need to consider that recycling does protect the environment in other ways than saving energy alone. So look around and see what things you can do and find in order to have less impact on the environment. Your efforts will not make a huge difference but if you can get other people to do it too and support this industry, then you will be a small part of the big solution to environmental damage.
