Orange County may not be considered as a city, but it still frequently visited by tourists all over the world, because of its warm sunshine, beautiful beaches, and several tourist attractions and destinations. 1. Newport Landing Sportfishing. Found in Newport Beach, this marine center is ideal for excellent fishing. You can choose to rent a boat for half a day or even few days, depending on the length of your fishing trip. The waters here are filled with several fish species, such as bass, tuna, barracuda, and bonito, to name a few.
2. Disneyland. One of the biggest Disneyland theme parks is found right here. There are 60 rides that you can choose from, or you can take a stroll in its wide acres of land, while pausing for a bit to take pictures of your favorite Disney characters.
3. Santa Ana Zoo. Acquaint yourself to countless species of animals and plants in the area. You have 20 acres of well-maintained areas to cover, so besides enriching your mind with new scientific knowledge, you will also sweat a lot.
4. Catalina Island. An islet off the main center of Orange County, Catalina Island is the real getaway for those who want to be far from the hustle and bustle of the city. All it takes is a boat ride. While you’re here, you can take advantage of the beach, where you can swim, ride a boat, or fish. You can also set up camp here or play some rounds of golf.
5. Mission San Juan Capistrano. A very old settlement, it’s a perfect place for a stroll, which can also be a walk down the memory lane. You can find baroque churches and adobe walls among the houses. There are also hiking trails in San Juan, Capistrano, and you can always choose to ride a bike or exercise those legs.
6. Buena Park. Orange County will never be it if it wasn’t for its beaches. If you’re on a budget, you can opt for their public beaches, such as the one in Buena Park. You’re not only free to swim or cruise, but you can also snorkel and surf. If you don’t have the equipment with you, you can always rent.
7. Crystal Cove Park. This is also a beautiful outdoor destination. It is made up of a three-mile-stretch sand, where you can venture into the sandy coves or tidepools. You can also cover the huge acres of woodlands.
8. Aliso and Woods Canyons Regional Park. Totaling 5,000 acres, this park is the most appropriate for biking. What’s more, there are pleasant challenges along the way, such as single tracks and loops.
9. Riley Wilderness Park. It’s a very small park, but it can still provide excellent time horseback riding. There are two single tracks that you can find here. If you also like to ride the bike casually, this one is for you.
10. Doheny State Beach. This is a camping ground that is so near the beach. Moreover, there are plenty of activities that you can do here, such as swimming, fishing, and surfing. There are also volleyball courts and picnic areas.
