Why struggle? There are so many dressing aids available to help make everyday head to toe grooming tasks simple... almost like having your own private Butler!

Let's start after our shower, the hands free hair dryer stand and long handled brushes and combs allows those of us with limited upper body mobility the freedom to style our own hair. Magnifying nail clippers and tweezers, easy grip long handled toe nail scissors all simple, but essential pieces of equipment.

Other dressing aids include getting your arms into the armholes of your garment. There are devices available, which can fix onto the door or wall, holding the garment up making it easier for you holding it ready for you to put your arm through. This clever little device reduces the uncomfortable motion of getting dressed, especially for people with limited mobility.

Dressing sticks, buttonhooks, zip pullers, clothing clips and Bra-Angels all brilliant devices to assist dressing easily and independently. People with problems gripping onto small items are able to use the dressing aids more comfortably, as they are designed with large grips and handles making it easier to see and use with little effort.

For those of us who find it painful to bend or find reaching the feet difficult, shoes can be pre-laced and tied with elasticated or coiler shoe laces, allowing shoes to be slipped on and off each time. Sock, stocking and tights aids are easy and inexpensive devises to assist with putting on a stocking or socks. Compression stocking aids will apply support hosiery quickly and evenly, without the fuss and tension that goes along with daily fitting. Extra wide aids are available for those with oedema.

People with very swollen or bandaged feet find it very difficult to get shoes and slippers to fit comfortably. Dressing to go out with bandaged and unsightly feet is not what anyone wants to have to do. Wide fitting shoes are very smart these days with Velcro fastenings which appear to be laces or buckles and the effect is a smart finish, for shopping days out, or even weddings. Use the dressing aids available so that you do not have to walk around in someone else's old slippers, which are three sizes too big for you.

Dressing aids are often smaller items that people are unaware of and would, in fact, make marvelous Christmas gifts. Often people find they are difficult to obtain, however, the internet is a great place to start your search for some dressing aids. You will find that there are a wide range of aids available online, all at cost effective prices and with manufacturers guarantee.
