Idebenone has been labeled as a highly effective anti wrinkle compound. While it is currently being used to help treat Alzheimers patients, it is making its way into wrinkle creams as the main ingredient recently. What it does is prevent the degeneration of cells. It helps protect the skin from environmental damage. The best part is that it improves the appearance of wrinkles and improve skin texture.

Idebenone is a synthetic analog of CoEnzyme Q10 has very similar antioxidant properties. This organic compound has been researched for 10 years. Compared to CoQ10, it is smaller by 60%. It provides 1000 times more effectiveness than its cousin.

Now how does Idebenone reduce the effects of aging such as wrinkles and fine lines?

CoQ10 plays an important role as an antioxidant helping to prevent cellular damage. It surrounds all cells including mitochondria. Mitrochondria are the ones that produce biochemical energy. The energy generated makes up more than 90% of cellular energy known as ATP. Furthermore, they contains CoQ10 abundantly. But, as the aging emerges, the level of CoQ10 drops which cause mitochondria become less efficient in releasing energy.

Idebenone is an advanced version of CoQ10. It helps protect the cells from free radicals that damage the skin and boost the cells energy production. Consequently, your skin is rejuvenated.

Studies report that Idebenone is able to reduce free radicals and increase the cells energy production back to a normal level. Unlike CoQ10, it can work under low level of oxygen. It is more water-soluble than its predecessor. Therefore, it is an ideal substitute for CoQ10 as a life essential component in your body.

You cannot compare it to other antioxidants. It is an antioxidant that works on the respiratory chain. With it, cellular aging is rectified and the skin is protected from environmental damage. Among all the other antioxidants found in wrinkle creams, Idebenone's Environmental Protection Factor is the highest.

Idebenone effectively rejuvenates the skin in a way unlike Vitamin A, Vitamin c, Kinetin and Alpha Lipoic Acid. Other antioxidants do not give you the kind of results Idebenone does. So much so, Allure magazine called it "the new Dream Cream, the best antioxidant yet." Thus, many skin care companies promote Idebenone as the most potent and effective antioxidant.

Anti wrinkle creams that contain Ibedenone have helped many men and women reduce the signs of aging such as sun damage and visible fine lines. Unfortunately, no one can exactly determine scientifically that Idebenone is better CoQ10 in skin rejuvenating. It is true they have similar structures. But they do differ in certain ways. Until more comprehensive tests are conducted, we will not know if Idebenone is better than CoQ10 as the aging fighter.

So the question is, should you try wrinkle creams that contain Idebenone? Well, it depends on what you are getting out of your skin care treatment now. If you have seen results, then you should not use Idebenone until you see more thorough research. Supposing you are not getting the results that you want, then you need to ask yourself if you are willing to spend more money. Skin care products with Idebenone are quite pricey. But here is the good news, I've heard they may be cheaper in the future.
