Home teeth whitening process is one of the most convenient and cost effective techniques for teeth whitening. It is completely safe and can be done independently even without any help from specialists. However, it is important to take proper guidance from your dentist before you decide to whiten your teeth.
Bleaching tray teeth whitening is one of the most effective and widely used teeth whitening process. Carbamide peroxide dispensed and approved by the Dentists is used in this technique. You have to get a prior consultation with your dentist to follow the instruction properly to use home based teeth whitening technique properly. Any negligence could even be fatal to your health.
The first step in this process is to have a dental examination. You need to have a thorough dental check up from your dentist. On the basis of this examination the dentist confirms whether you have a good dental health or not.
Photographs are taken to document the exact shade of the teeth for confirmation. You also need to produce certain other specific information about yourself like food habits, drinking or drug consumption habits, general health condition, life events and history etc.
All these information helps your dentist to know the nature of your teeth, causes of discoloration and any other related teeth problem that you might have. This information also helps to determine whether the bleaching tray method is appropriate or not. This is also important to determine the extent or degree of coloring agent required and the time required completing the process.
Most of the people are more concerned about there frontal upper teeth. Others want to bleach all. This has to be discussed during the time of examination. Generally the decision of whitening depends on the general dental condition of the patient
Any restoration work after whitening may need to be replaced after the bleaching process. Prior to the whitening process it is important to be aware of the time and the cost involved in this dental work as this can be substantial.
To increase the effectiveness and to minimize the side effect of bleaching the bleaching trays are individually made to order for specific customers. The first step in this process is making customized whitening trays to take the impression of the teeth.
After this, plaster casts using the same impressions are created by the dentist. The fabrication process of whitening tray requires some more time to be ready for the customer.
The last step of this process involves fitting the custom bleaching trays. During this process the dentist evaluates, and refines the fit of your bleaching trays. Your dentist will also instruct and advise you on the specific ways of placing teeth whitener in the bleaching trays.
