Brahmi to Relieve Stress - Benefits of Natural Stress Reliever

The mankind has been suffering from lots of health ailments and fortunately, the medical science has always been able to cope up with some or the other ways. Any treatment comes in two forms; internal therapy and external therapy. Some health ailments require just external therapy and others require internal. However, there are many health ailments those require both therapies.  

One of the most bothersome health ailments is stress. Nowadays, the stress is simply unavoidable as you may find yourself stressed every other hour! The pressure of sales, performance, job responsibilities, family problems, financial matter, accounts etc are considered to be factors that can ruin up one's mood. Many times, it becomes so difficult that a person just wants to get rid of all things and feels that he or she should run away from the situation! Is this a solution? Never!  

Fortunately, there are many herbs that contain some active and potential ingredients that help in relieving stress. One of such herbs is Brahmi which is called as Bacopa in Latin. Many health care providers, especially herbal health care providers prefer brahmi to relieve stress. There are lots of uses of this wonderful herb but the most important out of all is its soothing action on the brain.  

Regular intake of brahmi helps in soothing the brain and to restore the brain chemicals those have been highly disturbed because of various factors such as depression, distress, worries and mental exhaustion. On the market, there are plenty of herbal preparations that use brahmi to relieve stress. They have brahmi as a main ingredient or as a part of the blend of the herbs (other being brain calming herbs such as Mandookparni or Shankhpushpi).   

We can use brahmi to relieve stress and the supplements come in many forms such as pills, capsules, liquids etc. In ancient science like Ayurveda, brahmi has been successfully used to treat various health ailments, especially related to the brain. It is a powerful memory booster and hence is used in treating memory related issues. Brahmi is a herb of choice for students to have a cognitive excellence.  

Many holistic health care providers prefer brahmi to be used internally and externally. For its external use, brahmi can be applied onto the head and forehead (as Brahmi Oil) as a head massage. This has soothing and calming effects onto the brain and hence is useful in treating various problems including insomnia and mental distress.  

However, using brahmi to relieve stress requires more than this! An individual should perform meditation on a regular basis that helps soothing and calming down the aggressive brain and it also helps self-esteem to tackle various challenges and issues to solve without getting out of the character! Pranayama, yoga and meditation are few of the holistic exercises that help in keeping the brain chemicals under control. They also help in soothing the neurotransmitters and hence help in various mental conditions including loss of memory, loss of sleep, behavior problem, arrogance and lots of other mood problems.  

Along with all these therapies, one has to spend some time in calm place such as temple or any devotional place. A peace of mind is required to keep the body in harmony and hence, it is always better to have healthy lifestyle that contains light diet, regular morning/evening walk, deep breathing under tree during day etc.
