The body produces acetaldehyde when it digests yeasts, but the body can ingest it in other ways, it can absorb it in chemically made perfumes. Chemical aldehydes as ethanol are routinely processed into acetaldehyde, which is used in the production of fragrances, such as fragrant toilet paper, deodorants, air fresheners etc. Sadly, because we live in a deodorised world we have been seduced to think that the chemical smell of fragrant toilet paper is clean, when in fact it is a poison. We feel that we have to have deodorised toilet paper, with a pattern on it.
Those that have Candida infections should not be exposing themselves to ethanol in any form whatsoever, their bodies cannot neutralise it. That does not mean that you have to stop using deodorants, just use an un-perfumed deodorant.
Environmental pollution is something that we imagine happens to someone else somewhere else! We are all exposed to chemicals whether we like it or not, they are in our food in the air and in our water. Have you ever watched a cat scratch new furniture, they hate the chemical smell that it has and they need to mark it with their scent. What they are objecting to is the ethanol based perfume. Unfortunately, cats have a more highly developed sense of smell to humans and they can tell when something is toxic. Everyone with a Candida infection need to be aware that they can be exposed to ethanol in their own home they do not have to work in a chemical factory.
Professor Rod Dietert, a research Doctor at Cornell University has been studying the effect of environmental pollution on asthma, allergies and autoimmune disorders such as lupus in pregnant women. His conclusions indicate that even low levels of mercury, led and ethanol can damage an immune system during the prenatal period, three months before the child is born. The levels are in fact so low that they would not harm an adult at all. The conclusions from his work indicate that once the child has a compromised immune system it never recovers. Ethanol specifically impairs the ability of the immune system to mature.
Industrial alcohol is ethanol which has been treated so that it cannot be drunk as alcohol and to treat it they either add a noxious or toxic substance. Start reading the labels of all the household products that you can buy and you will find that ethanol pops up in many unexpected places. Who would imagine that it coats drugs? Many cars in the last ten years are capable of running on a mixture of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline, or petrol.
Contracting a Candida infection is an industrial hazard in many diverse industries such as hairdressers and gardeners, but it may be more important to remember that you can voluntarily subject yourself to the same influences in your own home. Ethanol is used in many everyday cosmetics because it is a solvent. Babies are at risk before they are born if their immune systems are compromised then more children will be born in the future with more allergies. It becomes a spiral because genetically future generations are more likely to inherit the allergies of both parents. You cannot escape all environmental pollutants but you can cut down the amount of ethanol in your home.
Even if you do not have a yeast infection your pet may have, and reducing the ethanol content in the home affects all its inhabitants.
