If you are on a diet, you know one of the main things that are recommended for drinking is water. Why do we need water? Because one, it does not contain calories. If you have ever looked at the calorie count in a can or bottle of soda, you know that consuming three or four of these per day can add up to all the calories you need for the whole day. But water on the other hand is free of the sugars and additives that total into calories that we do not need.
Water is a necessary because without it your body would no longer be able to function. Did you know that half or more of your body weight is water? Without water, you can only live for a few days. One very vital job that our bodies have is carrying oxygen to the cells in our body. The blood that flows through our veins contains water. Water is also part of the human immune system. It helps you to fight off sickness.
Some of the benefits of water, as mentioned before, are that it keeps us alive. When you are dieting, water can be a lifesaver. If you drink plenty of water, it helps you to feel full. Instead of eating, you will be running to the bathroom so there is another benefit. It will keep you jumping up and running to the bathroom; this could be a part of your exercise regimen.
Another great benefit of water is that it helps to regulate your digestive system. Another thing most people do not think of is the water that we sweat out of our bodies in a day's time. If you did not sweat, your body would overheat. Sweating is how our bodies cool themselves. If you are on an exercise program this is a very necessary function.
Most people can drink water right from the tap. However, with the pollution and problems with industries dumping waste or chemical overflow, water that you buy in bottles is the best way to go at the present time. Bottled water has been put through a sterilization process and had any contaminants removed.
To be assured that you are getting the best water for your dieting needs or if you are just health conscious you want to make sure you get enough water daily. Bottled water is a fabulous way of doing this. You can carry it with you whenever you have to run out to pick up something from the store. If you are worried about not getting the necessary nutrients form the water you drink, you may want to consider taking a multi-vitamin along with your daily routine. This will ensure that you have energy to make it through the day.
It does not matter if you are trying to lose 20 pounds or 50, bottled water is one of the best ways that you can help your self to lose the weight and stay healthy all at the same time.
