Health & Lifestyle

Health problems linked to life-style related health determinants can be life-situation specific e.g. in childhood or in old age, but they can also be strongly linked to cultural aspects

In addition, socio-economic factors are an important reason for variations in health. Addressing these factors will be considered in all actions aimed at tackling lifestyle-related health determinant. Comprehensive health promotion in various settings e.g. schools, workplaces, families and local communities has proven to be efficient in addressing health determinants.

A person who suffers from depression will often feel hopeless, sad, with little will to work or do any activity, a person who suffers from depression, will cease certain common daily activities such as taking care of their personal hygiene or even getting up from bed. There is much more to be said about depression, however this is just a general idea of the behavior of a person who suffers from depression.

This lifestyle-based approach is the first of its kind in the EU health policy and recognises that effective prevention, in fact, presents a solution to EU's health systems' economic problems. The annual direct and indirect economic cost in the EU of cardio-vascular disease, for example, is estimated at 70-135 billion euro, which is more than the total annual EU budget.

Today’s fast-paced world leaves people little time to worry about their health—that is, until a medical emergency forces them to reassess their habits. That’s when it becomes apparent how much influence lifestyle choices have on our quality of life. For example, each day in the U.S., more than 4,000 people are diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, a chronic condition marked by high levels of blood glucose that can lead to serious complications and premature death. And while there is no cure for the disease, it can be managed by eating healthy foods, exercising, maintaining a healthy weight and, if needed, medications or insulin therapy to regulate blood sugar levels. But researchers say these same healthy lifestyle choices can also significantly delay or perhaps even prevent type 2 diabetes, even for those who are at high risk for the disease.

Your body is created to be naturally healthy, and healthy living will promote the body's own ability to regulate its functions, prevent illnesses, and heal itself when necessary. Don’t be fooled into thinking that every illness or malady must be dealt with by using expensive drugs and surgery. It’s just not true.

When addressing lifestyle challenges, most people are herded through a system designed for the masses.  Yet each of us is an individual and requires a customized plan. Those kinds of plans can be expensive and hard to find.

Lifestyle for Health gives you the tools and resources to customize a lifestyle plan that allows real people to get real solutions!  Isn’t it time for you to feel good, look great and live well . . .  and best of all let it be EASY?
