Qualified Medical Spouse Order?
By: carol | 21-07-2008
I'm going through a divorce and am disabled and unable to get my own insurance, other than free Medicare Part A.  I know that there is such a thing as a Qualified Medical Child Support Order, but is there such a thing as a Qualified Medical Spouse Support Order in regard to continuance of Medical Insurance?  Thus far, the Judge has ordered my husband to keep me on his insurance policy, but I'm afraid that when the divorce is final, if there is no Court Order, there will be no further insurance for me.  I also wondered if there was an Order from the Court, does the Insurance Company have to abide?  Thank you in advance for your help!
