Healthy Smoothie Recipes are great for a 'pick me up' after a run or a jog. But, it is most important you know what you are drinking in that smoothie. A lot of smoothies you buy are loaded with sugar which isn't going to your best choice. Natural sugar is going to be your best choice so be sure to ask your vendor what they are putting into your smoothie and try to stay away from artificial ingredients. Caffiene loaded coffee smoothies are very popular but again, that isn't going to be your best choice after a workout. It might taste good but it won't replenish your body after a good run.
To create healthy smoothie recipes, it is best you make your own. It is easy to do - you need a good protein, whey, or soy and tofu, which automatically takes on the taste of whatever it is combined with. Next, fruit and berries - the darkest ones are the healthiest ones....is the word around town. And the fresher they are, the tastier they are.
The next item on the list for a healthy smoothie recipe, is a choice blender - there again, there are so many on the market. I always check out Consumer Lists to choose, but any good blender will run around $30 to $50. You will want one that has a setting for ice chopping. And the one that says it will make smoothies. Cutting ice is hard on the machine so you may have to pay more than planned to get a good one that will stand up to the abuse.
The next item on the list for a healthy smoothie recipe is to make your choice about what fruits and berries you want in your smoothie. Let us say blackberries, blueberries and raspberries and a banana. So, the ice is chopped, add freshly washed healthy berries, and a peeled banana. Also, add your whey which should contain a high amount of protein, then your tofu, soy, or milk. You may add flax seed oil or other oils if you wish. Now blend on high until completely smooth. This is a perfect healthy smoothie recipe, and it is home made - the best kind!

By: muscleguy | 23-11-2007
This is Yvonne Buschbaum, a German track and field athlete who took sixth place in the women's pole vault at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Buschbaum announced this week that she is retiring from track and field and that she will become a man."I feel as if I am a man and have to live my life in the body of a woman," Buschbaum said in a statement on her Web site. (The statement has been translated from German to English.) "I am aware of the fact that transsexuality is a fringe issue, and I do not want to be responsible for it remaining on the fringe." Although gender reassignment will likely involve Buschbaum taking hormones that are on the World Anti-Doping Agency's list of banned substances, Buschbaum says she has not taken any performance-enhancing drugs during her athletic career. Your thoughts? Do you know of any other athletes that have taken the plunge and had a sex change?
