Herbal Remedies For Arthritis, Arthritis Herbal Treatment

Herbal remedies for arthritis can be brewed in the form of cleansing teas or soups. For the herbs, you can get them at a herbal store. Ask the herbalist to mix a concoction for you. Herbs come in different grades. You should always choose the best quality ones for your arthritis.

Ginger. If you suffer from ailing joints, here's another kitchen herb to help lift your spirits. The plant is particularly good news for arthritis sufferers as it contains zingibain and other phytochemical compounds which quench inflammation. It seems to be particularly good at keeping at bay pain-causing and tissue swelling substances. Ginger is also an expert at improving digestion and its antioxidant properties are great for protecting the body cells from free-radical damage.

Herbs similar to Alfalfa, Feverfew, Ginger, Angelica etc., have been discovered to be effective in controlling arthritis and providing relief. These herbs can help improve your immune system and provide efficient respite from arthritis agony which implies even sound people can employ these medications to avoid the occurrence of the disease.

You could try herbal teas such as pansy or juniper for painful joints and osteoarthritis. Some prefer ointments made from horseradish and capsicum. Nettle is a topical herbal extract believed to reduce inflammation. You can control a lot of ailments through food, so is arthritis. Food rich in antioxidants such as green tea and wine should be eaten regularly. Avocado or soybean extract is a great diet supplement.

Boswellia has been known for centuries as a natural anti-inflammatory. It has been proven that boswellic acids contained within the herb can block the formation of leukotrienes, the immune cells responsible for inflammation, while also promoting the formation of free radicals. With regular use, blood supply to the joints is also maintained, keeping soft tissue nourished and viable.

Another of the best natural remedies for arthritis is exercise. Keeping the joint in shape and in constant motion can keep them from deteriorating further. Through stretching exercises such as Yoga, Pilates, and Tai Chi, you can strengthen and maintain the range of motion within the joints that are affected by the arthritis.

Certain herbs can also be useful in the treatment of arthritis. The antiinflammatory component of Devil's Claw may offer relief, and an extract of avocado/soybean oils has been shown to reduce pain and stiffness associated with arthritis. Phytodolor is an anti-inflammatory herb mixture composed of ash, aspen and goldenrod that can reduce symptoms as well. Research has also shown that niacinamide, a type of B vitamin derived from niacin, can be effective in easing pain and swelling.

A few drops of rosemary oil added to a massage oil (sunflower will do) in the palm of the hand and rubbed onto the painful area may give temporary relief. Other essential oils to try are benzoin, camomile, cypress, sage, juniper, lemon or thyme. Wintergreen or arnica ointments may also help. Avoid rosemary if you have high blood pressure.
