How A Women Over 40 Can Apply Easy Relaxation Techniques To Lose Weight Permanently

Many women over 40 are strained and have a hectic day. If you want to lose weight permanently, avoid stress- stress is related to failing at losing weight permanently.

In our twenties limited violations of a healthy lifestyle didn't really count. Once we pass 40, it's a completely different ball game. After age 40, our bodies become more attune to any kind of abuse. It is even more difficult to lose weight permanently over 40.  A lifestyle change will make you look and feel better than ever before.

1.  Get plenty of rest. To lose weight over 40, it is crucial that you get sufficient sleep. While you're sleeping your body releases fat burning growth hormones, helping in natural, sound weight loss.

2.  Start a relaxing exercise program. You do not need to work out like a fitness guru to lose weight permanently over 40. Perform a combination of endurance and strength training exercises on a regular basis. By selecting a program that will fit into your schedule, you will be more likely to continue. Get a friend to do it with you- you'll hold each other responsible to actually show up. And: Doing it together is more fun too! If you have some belly fat, add a combination of Pilates and stress reduction to your exercise program. This will help flatten your abs.

3.  Get fresh air each day and allow the oxygen to flow through your body. Take a walk, take a bicycle or use your lunch break for regeneration. Skip the fast food, and bring something healthy from home to eat while you are walking. I know many women over 40 spending their lunch break sitting. Your work performance will be better if you get some light exercise, and most importantly: You will feel better too.

4. Give yourself some slack when following through with your nutrition and workout plans. There is no use in being a perfectionist in these affairs. It's much safer to stick to your plans 95% of the time happily than to do it to 100% and feel always under pressure. If the weather isn't fit for walking, have a loosening hot bath. The hot water will get your heart rate up too. Easy things like that will assist you to lose weight permanently over 40, so be creative in finding them.

5. Over 40, your body reacts much stronger to all the little sins- too much food or alcohol, too much stress, not enough rest and relaxation, not enough physical exercise. You see the results of an unhealthy lifestyle much faster on your bathroom scale, making it harder to lose weight permanently over 40.

Fortunately, the opposite is true as well: If you take great care of your body, you'll see it, you'll feel it and the time after 40 can be the best time of your life.
