With summer coming so many of us are wondering how to get rid of leg fat. What is more embarrassing than having to wear all these shorts and swimwear with big, fat, bulging legs! Fortunately there is help available and you still have some time to work on the problem.
To get rid of leg fat is no different than losing weight anywhere else. The same basics apply with only some exercises added to target the specific area. So, you are still going to have to go n a diet! Sorry, that is how it is.

Unfortunately it is not s easy as all that. You have to choose the diet you want to go on with care. Take your lifestyle and your likes and dislikes into account. It is no use going on a diet that is completely wrong for you and your lifestyle; you are not going to be able to stick to it.

When it comes to exercises, you have to keep a few things in mind. To get rid of fat legs you will have to do exercises that target your legs. Here are a few very good ones to keep in mind:
1. Walking uphill at a fast pace. If you are walking on a treadmill, walk at an incline of at least 15 degrees and preferably at 20 degrees. Do this for at leas 20 minutes.
2. Running, here you can run instead of walk with the same principles as above. The choice between walking or running is obviously going to depend on your fitness level. If you are fit enough to run, it will be the best if you run as walking would hardly mean any extra exercise for you. Only you can make that choice.
3. Another very good one is using the mini-trampoline. This will really do wonders for your thighs. What will surprise you is how easy it really is. It is very important to jump no more than 2 minutes at a time. For the whole day you have to do a total of 20 minutes but you do it in 2 minute bursts.
4. Now to work the back parts of your legs, you can do calve raises. Stand on a stair with your heels hanging over the edge. Rise onto the balls of your feet and then go back down as far as possible, you should really feel the muscles stretching.
To conclude your exercises, do not forget to do your stretches targeting all the muscles you have used. Always remember that stretches not only prevents muscles to get sore, it also has a slimming effect and if you want to get rid of leg fat you really should not cheat on your stretches.
