Boot camps are a wonderful way to get into shape and stay fit. Trainers offer people something that they have never been able to achieve on their own. This is truly admirable and you should be proud.
Starting a boot camp of your own is going to take a lot of work. You will need to gain clients, format your workout plans, and open a facility where everyone can gather. It seems like a lot of work, but for any dedicated trainer it will be well worth it.
How to start
There are a lot of things that you will need to do to get your camp going. There are many choices to be made before ever opening the doors of your facility. It may seem a bit daunting to get your boot camp going. After all, there are so many things to do before you can even begin. It isn't as bad as it looks. With just a small bit of hard work you will soon have your boot camp up and running.
Renting a building: If you want to be successful as a boot camp trainer then you will have to rent a building for your clients to gather. An alternative to this is being an in home trainer who meets with your clients at the park or another public area. If you do choose to rent out a building you will want to acquire some equipment.
Decide on a specialty: You may have already decided on your area of expertise when you completed a training program for your certification. If you have not given it any thought then you will need to. You might choose to help people with weight loss training, or you might want to focus strictly on fitness training. Another option would be to run a boot camp for kids.
Set up a schedule: You will no doubt need to schedule the daily camps. It is important to adhere to schedules so that you can stay organized and keep people motivated at the same time.
Keep records: You will need to implement some sort of record keeping system to keep track of all your clients. You will need to do their weight and BMI from the beginning and keep a record of their progress along the way.
Advertise: Whether you want to pass out fliers on the streets or perhaps even advertise with local media sources, advertising is important to your business.
Keep everyone motivated: Keeping your clients on the right track may seem like a difficult task, but as a trainer it is your responsibility. You will be serving as a trainer and their counselor all at the same time. If you are running a weight loss camp then you are also going to need to serve as a nutritionist as well.
