How to Stop Excessive Sweating on Your Head

Having a lot of sweat on your head can be detrimental for many reasons.  The most obvious one is that it makes your hair wet and small bad, but there are several other issues that this can cause.  The sweat, for example, can roll into your eyes and irritate them or it can make an already red scalp worse.  This is because your sweat contains a lot of salt and once the water evaporates, you're left with deposits of salt on your head.

There are numerous ways to help stop excessive sweating on your head.  While you can't wholly prevent yourself from sweating entirely (this is a good thing, since you'd die if you couldn't), you can help curb it or conceal it.  One of the most common ways that people stop head sweating is to wear a hat.  This might sound counter intuitive, but you have to realize that hats block out the sun.  Wearing a nice white hat will ensure that no sun hits your head, therefore keeping it cooler.

Another good way to stop excessive head sweating is to clean it often.  While this might not seem like it'd prevent sweat, it actually will.  The reason that this method works is because the sweat will pool more easily if there is already some there.  With the sweat on the outside, the water on the outside will also pull more from the inside, resulting in additional sweat.  This, believe it or not, is one of the best ways to stop excessive sweating in any area, but especially the head.

You might also be able to avoid excessive head sweating if you work in a cooler environment.  Having a fan blowing on you at all times will definitely reduce the amount of sweat because it makes it evaporate, but just being in an air conditioned area overall will help tremendously.
