How to Treat Appendix Naturally?

Appendicitis means Inflammation of the vennifonn appendix is termed as appendicitis. The blockage may be due to a build-up of thick mucus within the appendix or to stool that enters the appendix from the cecum. It is commonest in children and young adults and is the most frequent cause for surgery in this age group. When treated promptly, most patients recover without difficulty.

Symptoms of appendicitis include severe abdominal pain the starts at the navel and radiates to the lower right abdomen. Coughing, sneezing, deep breaths, moving or touching the area makes the pain worse. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal swelling, mild fever, constipation, painful urination, inability to pass gas, blood in the urine and an elevated white blood cell count are also signs of appendicitis. Without treatment, the appendix could burst, releasing fecal matter into the area.

Home Remedies

While this is a very painful condition, there are several natural remedies for appendicitis that you can use right in your home. The first of these remedies is using Green Gram to help remedy appendicitis. You will want to take this ingredient three times a day, but only use one tablespoon per sitting. This will help relieve the pain as well as treat the infection.

In 1 litre cold water, add 1 tbsp of fenugreek seeds and cook on low flame. Simmer for half an hour and then strain. Allow it to cool a bit before drinking. As a part of appendicitis home remedy treatment, tea made from fenugreek seeds is considered valuable.

A diet which emphasizes raw, fresh vegetables and fruits, whole grains and at least eight glasses of liquid a day will provide the fiber needed to prevent constipation and minimize the risk of the appendix becoming infected. Raw food also provides enzymes, which help boost the immune system. Two tablespoons of flax seeds daily will keep stools soft and prevent constipation. Take garlic regularly to boost the immune system. Eat lactic acid fermented foods such as natural, unsweetened yogurt, kefir and sauerkraut regularly to keep the bacterial culture in the colon healthy.

Apply a cold pack to control the swelling, such as crushed ice in a plastic bag, a cold gel pack, or a bag of frozen peas or green beans. Wrap the cold pack in a dishcloth so that it does not contact your skin directly. When the pack warms up, refreeze it and reapply it later. I use two 12 x 18 in gel packs, so one is always in the freezer.

Lecithin seeds

Lecithin seeds are another effective home remedy for the treatment of Swelling of Feet during Pregnancy. Take 3-4 tablespoon of lecithin seeds every day for 2-3 month. This has a magical effect and shows great result within 2-3 months.

Dandelion ( Taraxacum officinale , 2 - 8 g per day) -- has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Be sure you do not have an allergy to dandelion, and avoid taking the herb if you have liver or gallbladder disease, diabetes, or kidney disease, or if you take blood-thinning medication.

The patient of appendicitis should under all circumstances avoid constipation. Once the waste matter in the caecum has moved into the colon and is then eliminated, the irritation and inflamation in the appendix will subside and surgical removal of the appendix may not be needed.
