The problem of losing weight is so common and universal that it has become a billion dollar business. There are many commercial weight loss and diet programs today that don’t warn consumers of their bad side effects.

One must be extremely cautious before embarking on any weight loss program. Make a thorough inquiry as to whether these programs are really effective or just plain gimmickry. You’ll be surprised that all it takes to lose weight is a little discipline and healthy habits. No shortcuts here.

You can start by making a record of foods that you eat everyday. Count the number of carbs, proteins, fruits, veggies, dairy products, fats, and sweets you eat daily.

Stop eating desserts or sugary foods for the first two weeks of your diet program. Limit your caffeine intake. This slows down your metabolism, making it harder to lose weight.

Reduce the amount of carbs you eat. Don’t cut them out completely since they are important. Your calorie intake should be 1,500 per day and you should eat at least three meals and two snacks a day. But don't eat meals two hours before going to bed. You won't burn calories while sleeping so all that food turns to fat.

Get moving and do some type of cardio activity three or more times a week. Make sure to get your heart rate above 120 for 20 minutes or more. Take the stairs as much as possible. Not only is it a great exercise but it will help you get leaner legs. Going to the gym and lifting weights is also a great way to get in shape. Doing many repetitions at low weights will help build muscle endurance.

Disregard anyone who promises a quick fix. Losing weight is not about diet or exercise; it’s about changing your lifestyle.

No one is destined to be overweight. Eat right and keep moving. Products like Zyroxin can help you achieve your goal of losing weight. Zyroxin works quickly to speed up your metabolism safely and effectively without the jittery side effects associated with ephedrine - based diet supplements. Check out www.zyroxin.com for more weight loss tips.
