Natural Cure for High Blood Pressure

Blood pressure is the force in the arteries when the heart beats (systolic pressure) and when the heart is at rest (diastolic pressure). High blood pressure is a blood pressure reading of 140/90 mmHg or higher. High blood pressure can betide in children or adults, but it's more common among people over age 35.

It may run in families, but many people with a strong family history of high blood pressure never have it. People with diabetes mellitus, gout or kidney disease are more likely to have high blood pressure, too. High blood pressure typically develops without signs or symptoms. And it affects nearly everyone eventually.

Mix juice of onion and pure honey in equal quantity. Taken two spoons of this mixture once a day is an effective remedy for high blood pressure. Take for about a week. Upon noticing improvement, take for few more days as needed.

Exercise is an essential weapon in the fight against high blood pressure. Even something as simple as a thirty-minute walk each day can make a huge difference in just a few months. Light exercise such as biking, walking and simple stretching exercises are all helpful with high blood pressure, especially when used in conjunction with a healthy diet.

Among the herbs, rauwolfia is the best remedy for high blood pressure. Alkaloids of this drug, which have a direct effect on hypertension, have been isolated and are being widely used by practitioners of modem medicine, but they have certain unpleasant side-effects which the drug, taken in raw form, does not have. Practitioners of the Indian system of medicine have, therefore, preferred to use the root of the drug in a powdered from. Half a teaspoon of this drug, taken thrice a day, is very effective in hypertension.

Persons suffering from hypertension must get at least eight hours of good sleep, because proper rest is a vital aspect of the treatment. Most important of all, the patient must avoid overstrain, worries, tension, anger, and haste. He or she must develop a calm and cheerful attitude and develop a contented frame of mind.

The key to controlling high blood pressure knows you have it. Under the guidance of a physician, you can battle hypertension through diet, exercise, lifestyle changes, and medication, if necessary. The kitchen holds several remedies to help you with your blood pressure -- keep reading to learn more.

Eat one papaya on empty stomach daily and keep fasting for the next two hours to control your blood pressure efficiently.

Make a juice of 25-30 curry leaves with one cup of warm water. Strain and drink first thing in the morning.

Consume foods rich in Protein, vitamin C, and all vitamins of the B group, as they are extremely beneficial in preventing and treating low blood pressure.

Take 100 gm melon seeds and 100 gm poppy seeds (khus-khus) and powder them. Store the powder in a clean container and consume 1 tsp with water morning and evening.

If you are suffering from high BP, take the skin of Drumstick Tree (Moringa oleifera) press it well and squeeze to get essence. Take 30 ml with 30 ml honey for 3 days in the early morning. It would definitely cure the high BP.
