Natural Skin Care Pros and Pros

Natural and organic skincare products contain products that are found naturally, such as essential oils like rose oil and lavender oil which are mainstays of the organic and natural skincare market, due to their fantastic naturally occurring properties and shelf life.

One of the really nice things about making the switch to natural and organic skincare products is that it encourages people to take the time to look at the ingredients that are used in the cosmetics products that they are buying. After all, if one product is attempting to justify a higher price tag, or differentiate itself from other products in the same marketplace, through describing itself as Natural, or Organic, or Herbal, then the consumer has every right to judge whether that product is worthy of that by studying what implications the use of each ingredients has for the product in question.

Vitamin E Oil is one ingredient that crops up in natural and organic cosmetics, make ups and skincare products, and it is an ingredient that is one of those to really look out for when judging the pros and cons of a specific skincare product. The beauty of Vitamin E is that not only is it a great antioxidant for the skin - though its real beneficial properties for the skin come from its inclusion in a rounded diet, so head toward apricots, leafy vegetable and so on - but it also a really good preservative.

When buying natural cosmetics it is important to remember that the shelf life is likely to be far less than that of a product which contains no natural ingredients but is entirely synthetic - imagine the difference between a fresh lettuce and a block of plastic - the plastic will remain in the same condition in six months whereas the lettuce will have well and tritely be beyond the pale. For the same reason, many products that brand themselves as organic and natural actually fall down when it comes to their shelf life - finding that they are unable to remain true to their ideals when it comes to find an inexpensive way to create a nice long shelf life.

Some products get round this through their packaging, and for that reason some of the more expensive natural and organic skincare crèmes and so on come packaged in dark blue glass cases, as these cases protect the organic matter inside from the aging effects of sunlight.

Vitamin E should also be sought out in those products intended for anti-wrinkle properties, however if it is possible for the consumer to get some indication as to the percentage of Vitamin E Oil in a product then this would be most helpful for making the right decision. In an anti wrinkle crème we should be looking for Vitamin E oil concentrations of around fifteen percent in the bass oils. Not only does Vitamin act as a natural preservative for the actual product, but it also acts as a preservative for the body - helping the skin look its best from year to year.
