Now You Can Have Clean Air

We live in an age where poor air quality is, unfortunately, an accepted environmental condition. Outdoors, where the air should be clear, we are bombarded with air pollution from vehicles and factories that spew their waste into the air.

We try to stay indoors to escape the bad air outside but are confronted by indoor air pollution.

What is indoor air pollution and what effects does it have on human health? Indoor air pollution is all manner of minute particles floating in the air. We breathe small solid or liquid particles from the air into our lungs all the time.

These small particles will irritate the lung tissue and lead to all sorts of respiratory problems. Smoke from a fireplace is one good example of something that can annoy lung tissue.

Dangerous chemicals, pesticides and herbicides may be highly toxic and can remain in the air long after spraying just waiting to be breathed into our lungs.

Dust mites are a particularly bad problem. They multiply in warm, humid conditions in your home feeding on flakes dead skin shed by humans and pets. Poor indoor air quality can contribute to a multitude of chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma and pneumonitis.

All of these particles are light enough to ride on the current of circulating air within our homes. Every time we move, we create an air current around us and ultimately breathe in the particles that we have disturbed. It almost seems like a no win situation but that does not need to be the case.

To purify the air, we need to stop the particles from floating freely. A simple way to do this is to add negative ions into the atmosphere. There are a number of ways that negative ions are produced but the easiest and most natural way is via flowing water.

In the hills and mountains, where mountain streams cascade over rocks and boulders, the air is purer and the vegetation more lush. That is because water molecules are energized by the current creating negative ions. Negative ions attach themselves to particles that are floating freely in the air. The particles become too heavy to float, thus purifying the air we breathe.

We can introduce a similar scenario to the mountain stream into our homes with the use of indoor water fountains. Indoor water fountains create the same negative ions produced on the mountainside bringing mountain air freshness into the home.

Indoor water fountains come in all shapes and sizes and in different materials. Selecting the right material and size, for instance a wall mounted copper or slate fountain, can really enhance your décor while being very beneficial to the air quality.

When choosing your indoor fountain, you do not want to order one that is too large that it will dominate the area nor one that is too small that will be ineffective. Getting the size right is very important. Contact an online store for advice on getting the size right.

Installing an indoor fountain is very easy and can be completed in less than an hour. Within a few days, you will notice how the air that is circulating your home is fresher and your breathing becomes easier.

By installing an indoor fountain, you can have clean air.
