One of the hardest adjustments most people have to make with regards to living an organic lifestyle is in regards to their eating habits. With life on the run from work, school, family, play, (and more work) people just don't take the time to eat healthy. All though it does take a little extra time the key is actually not so much in tons of extra time spent as it is in thinking ahead so you're not picking up fast food at the last second.

This year is a perfect time to change that. Grab yourself a little lunchbox/cooler and start thinking ahead. Don't get stuck in line at the nearest fast food place spending your money on grease and msg when you can nourish your body with delicious home made food. If you think ahead and make a sandwich made with whole grain bread, or grilled chicken salad you can add these to your lunchbox along with some organic snacks (preferably not loaded with sugar). This will help you to accomplish a great portion of your goal. At the risk of getting bored and tired of your lunches don't always stick to the traditional sandwich. A hot lunch is always good too. Start thinking about that when you make your meal the night before. Chili is excellent leftover, actually most soups are delicious the next day during the winter seasons. During the summer cold pasta salads seem to fit the bill quite nicely. See, most of the unhealthy eating is done while in a hurry. Most people do not want to (or can't) take the time to cook a large meal while in the middle of a work day (or a play day for that matter.)

So don't weigh yourself down with fast food. Give your body a healthy boost and always keep your lunchbox at hand packed up with healthy and delicious foods. You will notice that you don't have such a let down in energy right after lunch if you eliminate those greasy fast foods. After a few months of eating this way you will begin to notice a not so good feeling when you give in and eat the junk. Hopefully you will begin to crave foods such as fruits and vegetables instead of always hunting down the greasy french fries. This is a good thing. Your body starts to become accustomed to the healthy food and for good reason....it's finally being nourished the way it is supposed to be.
