If women develop cold sores with the onset of their menstrual cycle in a particular month, it becomes a panic situation for them. The burns of sores are more during this time.

The problem of cold sores gets complicated in the sensitive parts of your body. Especially blisters around the eyes can even damage them. You must be very careful in washing hands and then touching these sensitive organs.

Anti-HSV pills are available in the market but before taking the medicines, always consult the doctor for the right dose. Ointments and creams are also available. The main component in them is acyclovir (5% of the composition) and found in different brand names. Use any one directly on the sores for 4 to 5 times a day. This will certainly provide you with a major relief. But above all there is no substitute to cleanliness to keep the cold sores away.
