Does this person seem familiar to you? Catching a few winks at the desk at work, on the couch before dinner and everywhere in between because you have not sleep the entire night in days. What are some good sleep routines to follow?
~ Maintain a regular bed and wake time schedule including weekends.
~ Establish a regular, relaxing bedtime routine such as soaking in a hot bath or hot tub and then reading a book or listening to soothing music.
~ Create a sleep-conducive environment that is dark, quiet, comfortable and cool.
~ Sleep on a comfortable mattress and pillows.
~ Exercise regularly. It is best to complete your workout at least a few hours before bedtime.
Once you develop a pattern of sleep that works for you, your body will naturally become accustomed to feeling tired at a certain time. And, as a result, the body will also feel ready after a good night of sleep to wake up and start the day revived and renewed.
After all of the time spent with restlessness, you will be amazed by how much different, and more youthful, you will feel getting good rest. Your skin will feel so smooth and your mind will be sharp and focused. With sleep as your drug, experience this natural high on a regular basis. All it takes is putting head to pillow.
