Our skin consists of uncountable tiny pores through which our skin breathes. These pores attract dirt which results in blockage of such pores which ultimately leads to acne or pimples. The level of pollution in our environment is increasing day by day. In such a condition, it is very common to get acne on your skin. It makes your face look ugly and leaves marks on your skin. To get rid of such skin problems due to acne, you can go for Retin-A skin gel.
Retin-A skin gel helps you to get rid of pimples which come up simultaneously reducing their growth on your face. Retin-A skin gel works on acne by loosening the acne plugs in your skin. It pushes and sheds these plugs onto the surface of your skin. The effect of Retin-A may vary according to different skin types, so it is essential to consult a doctor before using this gel. Tell him about any medical treatment that you may have gone or are going through to avert any contradiction of Retin-A medication.
Apply a thin layer of Retin-A skin gel over the affected areas daily before going to bed. Excess of everything is harmful. Don't think that overdosing will help you attain faster results. Read the provided prescription and apply Retin-A skin gel accordingly. Harsh soaps or medicated cream can cause irritation, so it is better to avoid them. Use a mild soap to clean your skin before applying the gel. Retin-A makes your skin more sensitive to sun's ultraviolet rays so stay away from the direct exposure to sun as much as possible. Use a good sunscreen when going out in sun. Breast feeding mothers and pregnant ladies must go for a prior consultation with a doctor before using the gel.
There are some common side effects of Retin-A skin gel which you may suffer from until your skin gets adjusted to the gel. Some of such side effects are peeling of skin, redness and stinging, it may also happen that your skin gets warm in the initial phase of Retin-A application. These effects may slowly disappear but if they continue, then it's the time to discontinue the treatment and consult a doctor.
To get the effective results it is recommended to use the Retin-A gel regularly as prescribed. In case you miss a dosage, just skip it and continue with the next one. It should be kept away from the reach of children and should be stored in a cool place.
So, if a flawless skin is what you desire for, Retin-A skin care gel is the right way to get it. There are other skin care products also which you may look forward to add that glow to your skin but with doctor's consultation.

By: debbielew | 18-09-2007
I am on a Meditteranean vacation for the first time in my life. I have never had a problem with sun poisoning & have lived in southern & northern California most of my life. While in Spain I layed in the sun, but never sun burned. 3 days after laying in the sun, the front of my legs & arms were covered with raised blisters & red rashes (so it was a delayed reaction). I went to a pharmacy and they gave me antihistamine tablets & cream & it has finally getting better. My question is could I be allergic to the Med. sun eventhough I have never reacted to the sun in the US?? I used the same sunscreen as I am using here. ONce you have this, will it mean that I cannot go out in the sun anymore?
