Senior Executives at Vista Staffing Solutions Take On New Titles and Responsibilities

Katie Abby Promoted to President, Clarke Shaw to Chief Operating Officer
Salt Lake City, Utah—October 2, 2006— VISTA Staffing Solutions, a leading provider of temporary physician staffing and permanent physician search services, announced the promotion of two key executives. Katie Abby, an expert with more than 21 years in the temporary physician or locum tenens industry, will serve as president. Clarke Shaw, a 16-year veteran within the industry will serve as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Abby and Clarke co-founded VISTA in 1990, along with Mark Brouse, CEO.

For the past six years, Abby has overseen recruitment, credentialing and physician placement at VISTA. In her new role as president, she will work with three new divisions of the company: Physician Search and Consulting, International Placement, and Long-term Locum Tenens Staffing. These services integrate closely with VISTA's domestic locum tenens service to provide a full range of career opportunities for physicians and a comprehensive physician staffing mix for hospitals and medical practices that rely on VISTA strategic staffing support. Abby is also the immediate past president of the National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations, an association she helped found to establish and enforce standards for ethics and sound business practices within the locum tenens industry.

Since 1990, Clarke Shaw has held a variety of posts within VISTA. He most recently led the territory management, national accounts, information technology and accounting teams. As executive vice president and chief operating officer, Shaw will be responsible for core domestic locum tenens business operations at VISTA and will manage physician recruitment, client sales, national accounts, the physician licensure team, and the firm's comprehensive credentials review process. Fully integrating these functions will enhance the company's ability to ensure that the quality physicians who practice through VISTA are closely matched with the clinical needs of the healthcare organization where they are assigned.
