In everything we do, we need energy in order to stay focused, remain alert and be able to do normal tasks or activities with the usual effort, if not better. However, there are times when we feel like we lack something. We start looking for the motivation and strength that will lead us to a proper state of mind and give us our body’s systems the willingness to work.
Lack of sleep and rest, unhealthy diets and lack of exercise are just some of the factors that sap our energy and leave us feeling drained. Here are some of the best ways to maintain your energy all day long. Use these brilliant tips to motivate yourself, boost your energy levels and in the end, be recognized!
· Make your own energy products. You don’t need to buy expensive food supplements and other protein-rich stuff because you can make your own healthier version at home at a fraction of the price!
· Listen to brain-stretching music. Music brings harmony to everyone so why not include some Mozart or Bach into your own playlist. Maybe this will help you relax a bit.
· Deal with job burnout. Even if you enjoy your job, there will come a time when responsibilities and exasperation build up, especially if you have a lot of pending work.
· Schedule around your energy peaks. It’s better if you know the rules of time management to help you organize your schedule better. This is also a good way of allotting time and energy for more meaningful tasks.
· Get outside -- even on a cloudy day. You’re only human. You also need to go outdoors for some time to get some Vitamin D and relax It will also keep you away from answering phone calls or waiting for a fax or email to arrive.
· Do some morning exercises. You may strictly follow a serious health diet but if you lack early morning exercise, you can’t use enough energy to motivate yourself.
· Eat the right nutrition mix. Have a balanced diet. Yes, sugar and bread can give you quick jolts of energy but is it enough to support you the whole day?
· Put your senses to work. Try smelling aromatic scents like essential oils such as peppermint and rosemary or stimulate alertness-sparking stress points including the skin between your thumb and forefinger as well as the earlobes.
· Keep the caffeine low. Drinking a lot of coffee is usually what most people do to stay awake, alert and productive but research suggests that small doses of caffeine can do a better job.
· Master the power nap. It’s hard to stay awake especially if you’re really tired and sleepy. So a power nap can really.
By following all these great tips and staying away from negative activities that attract stress, you will soon feel more energized. As we always say, don’t take life too seriously. What really matters is that you are enjoying every minute of your life doing simple things that will help you stand out among the rest. You can always have the right dose of energy and you only need to use it appropriately. Energy is like charging your body and soul with purity and certain flavors of life!
