• Clinic whitening- the most dramatic whitening results can be seen in patients that use clinic treatments done by their dentist. Although the results are great, the cost can sometimes reach up to thousands of dollars. There are blue lights and lasers to whiten teeth. They have high intensity and these are used by dentists, during the whitening process. When you have your teeth whitened in the clinic, it can last for up to five years. You just have to do your part and have home follow ups.

• Whitening products at home- if you want to do your own teeth whitening procedure or you don’t want to spend thousands at the dentist, then at-home products are what you need. There are some that are even dentist made or dentist supervised. This method will allow you to have custom-fit trays along with whitening gel that are less strong than solutions found in clinics.

Experts say that these types of whitening  treatments should be worn once or twice daily and should be worn for an hour every time. Mostly, the treatment will last for about two weeks. Some of these kits come with a hefty price tag, but some experts say they work just as well as clinic-treatments. There have been some tests that showed at-home treatments can even outperform in-clinic whitening products.
