The Body Detox Diet

The detox diet has become increasingly popular because of the number of celebrities that have sung its praises. It seems more and more stars are talking about body detox and this has stirred an increase in the public's interest to the detox diet program. Carol Volderman and Kim Wilde are just a couple celebrities who have certainly shifted the limelight from other popular diet programs to the rising fame of detoxification diets.

Strong supporters of the detox diet claim that there is an urgent need to incorporate the detoxification processes into our lifestyle because of the alarming amounts of toxic waste our body absorbs each and everyday. When toxic waste accumulates in our body it can lead to a lot of health complications that can include fatigue, lowered immunity, bloating, aches, and pains. With a detoxification diet program one can have an excellent solution to the overloaded toxic build-up in their body and overcome many of the negatives of having toxins built up in your system.

You'll lose a few pounds in just 10 days with the detox diet program which is certainly a plus. Detoxification guarantees to eliminate bloating, improve skin condition, and beat cellulite effectively. With all of these advantages it is no wonder that people are making a change from their old diets to the new detoxification diet despite the endorsements from top celebrities.

A person is to eat more fruits and raw vegetables while on the detox diet program. It is strongly recommended that all meat products, wheat, processed foods, caffeine and alcohol, and dairy products be avoided during the detoxification process. Other detox programs such as saunas, body massages, acupuncture and acupressure procedures that can used in with the detox diet if one prefers a holistic approach.

Does our body really need help to eliminate waste? Well, there is no scientific evidence that directly indicates that our bodies need extra help to eliminate harmful toxins. This is according to health experts. The kidney effectively flushes out the toxic waste in the body on a daily basis. Health experts advise that if you undergo a detox diet program that you should not do it for long extended periods of time because they believe it falls short from the daily recommended dietary requirement for each person to be truly healthly. They also believe that those who participate in the detox diet are at risk of possible calcium deficiency ailments. Those ailments include osteoporosis and fragile teeth because calcium is absent in most detoxification diet programs.

However, it is an established fact that anyone who undergoes the detox diet will most definitely shed a few pounds. This is mainly due to the fact that almost all major food groups are nearly excluded this dietary program. To avoid health risks, the best thing to do is not to fully adapt the body detox diet. It is safest to detox for only two to three days to cleanse your system each month if you want to detox your body and lose a few pounds.
