The Role of Food and Clothing In treating Yeast Infections

As human beings we actually do not need very much at all to get by. It really boils down to the three basic needs of food, shelter, and clothing. Now, as I'm sure you know everything we do is down to choices. So we can choose what we do in the matter of these three basics.

In fact the choices we make in two of these have a significant effect upon our health in general, and yeast infections specifically, as that is what the subject of this article is all about.

Let's talk about food first. Now obviously we all need food to survive and nourish us. The problem arises when the food we eat also nourishes yeast infections.

It is paramount to keep the body in a state of balance. This occurred naturally thousands of years ago as the principle diet of humankind was raw foodstuffs and water, pretty much nothing else. Well it worked OK didn't it? Because we are all here today.

Anyway, nowadays we tend to eat too much refined and processed food, and way too much sugar. Yeast infections thrive on sugar, and multiply and re-occur in that environment.

So it's fairly obvious that we need to control our acidic, sugary intake and eat more alkaline foods to balance thwe PH level in our body.

Examples of these sort of alkaline foods are most vegetables, Avocado (eggplant), Tomato, Grapefruit, Herbal tea, and seeds. This is by no means an exhaustive list, you can easily find more with a quick search. Eating as much of this raw is also an excellent way of getting rid of yeast infections.

It is also important to maintain an adequate water intake, we are threequarters water and we dehydrate faster than we think. In fact thirst is a bad indicator. By the time we feel thirsty we are already in a mild state of dehydration.

Train yourself to drink water frequently, of course at first you will find that you need to relieve yourself more frequently also. However your body will soon get used to the additional water intake and you will settle down as before.

It can also be a good idea to add a few PH drops into your water, this can help enormously. Just enter "PH drops" into your search engine to find a supplier and more information.

Now to clothing. Of course nowadays clothing is seen as necessary, and in certain climates of course it is. It is not necessary, or desirable, to wear tight fitting clothing. Especially around the crotch area.

Most women will at some stage in their lives have experienced a yeast infection in that area. It's just the kind of environment that yeast infections thrive in. If you do not allow this (or indeed any other) area to breath, and get excess moisture away, you are setting yourself up for yeast infections.

Try not to wear synthetic materials, cotton is best. Not too tight, and avoid pantyhose at all costs. Not very sexy I know. But then nor is a recurrent yeast infection.

Just try it for a week or two and you will notice the difference. Just two simple choices about the way you live can help eliminate those problem yeast infections.
