I've been getting a lot of questions lately from the last article I wrote on Fucoxanthin, so I'm writing to those of you who are still unclear about what fucoxanthin is. Everybody has been talking about how fucoxanthin is this new and amazing weight loss discovery, but does it really work?
I've seen a lot of sites out there that are telling people that fucoxanthin does not work, and that it is merely another product to trick people into thinking that a pill will help them lose weight, but in almost all of these webpages, at the end of their "uncovering about the truth about fucoxanthin" they tell you to buy a different weight loss product that they sell. So do you still believe what they're telling you? I sure don't.
Here's the straight facts about fucoxanthin for you:
- Fucoxanthin is a substance that is found naturally in green, red, and more abundantly so in brown seaweed that normal people eat all the time like miso soup and sushi
- Fucoxanthin is a carotenoid antioxidant, and therefore helps protect the body from free radical damage
- It stimulates the production of those good old Omega-3 fatty acids, DHA that everyone talks about being so healthy for you (the FDA gave "qualified health claim" status to DHA that it may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease)
- Fucoxanthin studies with humans are being conducted and the initial results look very promising for weight loss: subjects taking fucoxanthin supplements lost 14 pounds, compared to the placebo control group that only lost 3 pounds.
- Fucoxanthin helps to increase your metabolic rate

- Some people won't lose weight from taking fucoxanthin or any other weight loss supplement because they do not want to lose weight, i.e. they keep their old bad habits of a poor unhealthy diet and do not exercise

- Quick weight loss is possible if you are truly determined

If you're looking for a miracle drug that will instantly make you skinny without any other work, I'm sorry but it doesn't exist. You have to work at it consistently and intelligently, just like everything else you want to accomplish in life.
You can do it. Your body is yours to control. You are the one that decides what you put into your stomach and what you do with your body. I recommend keeping a well balanced diet and monitoring how healthy the food you're eating is. Cutting out that extra bowl of ice cream or bar of chocolate from your diet can go a long way. You'd be surprised how many calories are in one donut or cookie (look at the nutrtional facts next time you decided to buy some oreos).
